Nicholas of Flüe, born in 1417 in the Canton of Obwalden, was a Swiss figure who died in Sachseln in 1487. He is considered a human of Swiss citizenship. While his exact occupation remains debated, he is sometimes described as a magistrate, politician, judge, or hermit.
