Île De France Cluster Route 1
This route showcases several significant landmarks within France, specifically in the Île-de-France region. It includes notable places and explores topics related to history, architecture, and culture. The route features stops at iconic locations such as Notre-Dame de Paris, the Arc de Triomphe, the Panthéon, the Eiffel Tower, Sacré-Cœur, and église du Dôme de l’Hôtel des Invalides.
The route begins with Notre-Dame de Paris, located on the île de la Cité, which is scheduled to reopen on December 7, 2024. The Arc de Triomphe, a prime example of Neoclassical architecture, was opened in 1836. The Panthéon, also showcasing Neoclassical architecture, dates back to 1781.
Further along the route, you’ll find the Eiffel Tower, situated in the 7th arrondissement of Paris and overlooking the Champ de Mars. Sacré-Cœur, named after the Sacred Heart, began its construction in 1875. Finally, the route includes a visit to église du Dôme de l’Hôtel des Invalides de 7e arrondissement de Paris, a church in the 7th arrondissement.
