Eiffel Tower

The Eiffel Tower, or “La Tour Eiffel” as the French call it, is one of the most famous landmarks in the world.

The Eiffel Tower was designed by the French engineer Gustave Eiffel and completed in 1889. Standing at an impressive height of 330 meters (1,083 feet), it held the title of the world’s tallest man-made structure for over 40 years. Originally built as the centerpiece for the 1889 World’s Fair, the tower was intended to showcase France’s engineering prowess. Today, it remains a symbol of innovation and a testament to human creativity.
